Mikhail Lopez, a long-time resident of Fairfax County and graduate of The College of William and Mary, received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall in 2011. Throughout law school, Mikhail, better known as Misha, explored civil and criminal law during internships with the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States Tax Court, the Law Office of David Zalob, and the Indiana Attorney General Criminal Appeals Division.
After graduating from Berkeley and passing the California Bar Exam, Misha returned to Virginia, where he clerked for Greenspun Shapiro PC. Now a member of the Virginia Bar, Misha has focused primarily on criminal defense and general civil litigation, working closely with Peter Greenspun and Jonathan Shapiro on research, trial preparation, and the drafting of pleadings and appellate briefs for clients faced with serious criminal charges, traffic charges, and complex civil litigation.
